About this event

The CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) “How Can We Help?” Project provides funding to small community coalitions, task forces or other grass roots community groups for recovery support services to address the opioid crisis in CT. The target population is survivors of opioid overdoses, individuals struggling opioid use and families of those struggling with opioid use.

Cross Street Training & Academic Center (CSTAC) is an organization committed to educating adults and children academically, socially and spiritually. Under CSTAC, the Ministerial Health Fellowship (MHF) was developed to work in partnership with pastors and church leaders to build knowledge of healthcare issues and advocacy, and to forge connections with healthcare providers and public officials.

Columbus House is an organization with a mission to serve people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless by providing shelter and housing, and fostering their personal growth and independence.

Middlesex Health is a collaborative partner, assisting in program development, implementation and monitoring.

The Ministerial Health Fellowship Advocacy Coalition includes African American faith leaders and congregations from Hartford, Middletown, Meriden, New Britain and across the state of CT that are focused on health equity, elimination of disparities, advocacy and the mobilization of congregations to address health care needs in our communities.
